“Just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to live in obedience to himLet your roots grow down into Him and draw up nourishment from Him.” Colossians 2:6-7 (NLT)

“The surviving remnant of Judah shall again take root downward and bear fruit upward.” 2 Kings 19:30 (NAS)

“Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”        Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)

FRUIT BEARING FAITH IS…

  1. BELIEVING WHEN I DON’T SEE IT

“Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”  Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)

 2. OBEYING WHEN I DON’T UNDERSTAND IT

“It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about something that had never happened before.” Hebrews 11:7 (NLT)

“It was faith that made Abraham obey when God called him to go out to a country God had promised to him.  He left his own country without knowing where he was going.”    Hebrews 11:8 (GN)

“Jesus soon saw a huge crowd of people coming to look for him. Turning to Philip, he asked, “Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?”  He was testing Philip, for He already knew what He was going to do. Philip replied, “Even if we worked for months, we wouldn’t have enough money to feed them!” Then Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up. “There’s a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?” “Tell everyone to sit down,” Jesus said. So they all sat down  … The men alone numbered about 5,000.” John 6:5-10 (NLT)

  1. PERSISTING WHEN I DON’T FEEL LIKE IT

“It was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger. He kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible.”  Hebrews 11:27 (NLT)

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see” Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)

  1. SPEAKING IT IN ADVANCE IN ORDER TO EXPERIENCE IT

“It was by faith that Joseph, when he was about to die, confidently spoke of God’s bringing the people of Israel out of Egypt. He was so sure of it that he commanded them to carry his bones with them when they left!”  Hebrews 11:22 (NLT1996)

“By faith, we see the world called into existence by God’s word, what we see created by what we don’t see.”  Hebrews 11:3 (MSG)

“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 18:18 (NIV)

“God speaks of future events with as much certainty as though the        were already past.”    Romans 4:17 (LB)

“For it is by our faith that we are put right with God; it is by our confession that we are saved.” Romans 10:10 (GN)

  1. TRUSTING IN GOD EVEN IF I DON’T GET IT

“They were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. God had planned something better…”             Hebrews 11:39-40 (NIV)

“Faith comes from hearing the Word of God…”   Romans 10:17 (NKJV)
